Fine lines, wrinkles, and folds across the face often add years to our appearance. Fortunately, cosmetic injectables available at Revive RX Med Spa of Kansas City, Missouri, can help. Without plastic surgery, men and women can address unwanted imperfections with injections like Jeuveau. Let’s look at this treatment and how it has revolutionized the natural aging process!
Jeuveau injections are cosmetic treatments that involve injecting small amounts of botulinum toxin into the facial muscles. This helps to relax and smooth out wrinkles, resulting in a much more youthful and refreshed finished look. Jeuveau is commonly used to reduce the appearance of imperfections such as frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles and is a wonderful Botox alternative injection.
Jeuveau is also known as “Newtox” due to its similarity to other popular brands of botulinum toxin injections, such as Botox and Dysport. In 2019, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) of the United States authorized it to temporarily treat moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, also known as glabellar lines. When administered by an experienced team of providers such as those at our office, it can be a wonderful solution to aging skin, treating fine lines, wrinkles, and folds throughout the face in both adult men and women.
Our team in Kansas City, Missouri, is highly trained in assessing each individual’s unique needs and determining if Jeuveau injections are a suitable treatment option. Generally, the best candidates for Jeuveau injections are healthy adults who want to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on their faces. It is important to disclose any medical conditions or allergies to your provider before undergoing any cosmetic treatments.
Jeuveau injections are typically quick and relatively painless, with most sessions lasting around 20 minutes at our office. The treated area is numbed with a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort. Your provider uses a thin needle to inject very minute amounts of Jeuveau into specific facial muscles. After the treatment, aftercare instructions will be provided to ensure optimal results and minimize any common or potential side effects.
Results from Jeuveau injections can typically be seen within two to three days, with full results becoming visible after about a week. However, every individual is different, and it may take up to two weeks for some people to see the full effects of their treatment. The duration of results varies as well, but on average, they last between three to four months.
As with any cosmetic procedure, Jeuveau injections can cause some potential side effects. These include mild pain and discomfort at the injection site, bruising or swelling, and temporary redness.
