At Revive RX Med Spa of Kansas City, Missouri, our providers know how the signs of aging, discoloration on the skin, and other facial imperfections can cause patients to feel self-conscious about how they look. Men and women considering rejuvenation options are encouraged to request an appointment at our office to determine whether they are good candidates for the desired treatments. One solution is microneedling, a treatment that can provide a new, fresh, youthful look after just one treatment! Let’s look at some frequently asked questions regarding microneedling and how it works for skin rejuvenation.
The team at Revive RX Med Spa describes microneedling as a minimally invasive procedure for facial skin rejuvenation. It uses a specialized device with small needles to create tiny punctures in the skin, stimulating the body’s natural healing process and promoting collagen production.
The duration of your microneedling treatment depends on the size of the area being treated and your individual needs. On average, the procedure takes around 30 minutes to complete from start to finish.
There is typically no downtime after microneedling. Some patients may experience mild redness and sensitivity immediately following the treatment, but this usually subsides within a few hours. You may resume your normal activities and skincare routine the next day.
The number of treatments needed varies for each individual and their specific skin concerns. For optimal results, a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended. However, some patients may see improvements after just one treatment.
Microneedling has several benefits, including improving hyperpigmentation, addressing fine lines and wrinkles, reducing the appearance of acne scars, and promoting overall skin rejuvenation. It can also enhance the absorption of skincare products and improve the texture and firmness of the skin.
Yes, microneedling is safe for all of our patient’s skin types. Unlike some other treatments, it does not use heat or chemicals, making it a versatile option for a wide range of skin concerns and types.
Most patients describe the sensation as mild discomfort during the procedure. The needles used are very small, and numbing cream can be applied beforehand to minimize any discomfort.
Our providers at Revive RX Med Spa can educate you on the services we offer designed for skin transformation.
