When we think about the noticeable signs of aging, many of us are aware of the formation of fine lines and small wrinkles throughout the face. Because we start to lose collagen and elastin stores around the age of 30, it can cause the formation of loose skin and fine lines and wrinkles. However, you don’t have to live with these changes!
The Revive RX Med Spa team in Kansas City, Missouri, can educate you on your options for cosmetic enhancement. This may include using Botox injections to treat wrinkles, lines, and folds across the face.
Our team describes Botox as a neuromodulator. Neuromodulators are injected into specific muscles to reduce contractions. Dynamic wrinkles are those formed by muscle contractions of the face, including crow’s feet, glabellar lines, and forehead folds. When Botox is injected into the muscles on the upper third of the face, it can relax the dynamic wrinkles and smooth the skin for a more youthful final look.
The results from Botox injections are not permanent. Instead, patients will see the results of their Botox treatment within a week of their injections and enjoy them for several months before the wrinkles and folds reappear. At this point, patients must return to Revive RX Med Spa for follow-up injections to maintain the results over time.
Unfortunately, the process of aging is inevitable. However, Botox injections performed regularly can lessen the appearance of inevitable wrinkles and folds in a temporary manner. It can slow the appearance of aging skin, but it will occur with time.
If you are seeking a more permanent way of reducing the signs of aging, consider plastic surgery. Fortunately, with Botox, many patients are able to delay the need for invasive surgeries and maintain a more youthful look longer.
In addition to Botox and other neuromodulators, patients may want to pair these injections with dermal filler injections. Sometimes known as a “liquid facelift,” it is not uncommon for patients to combine both neuromodulators and dermal fillers to achieve more dramatic results.
Dermal fillers are gel-like injectables formulated with hyaluronic acid, attracting water molecules. Both can work together and be used on specific areas of the face for the best possible results!
If you are ready to turn back the hands of time and target dynamic wrinkles that have developed on the face, you might be a great candidate for Botox as an injectable wrinkle treatment.
